Faversham Transport Weekend 2015
Faversham Transport Weekend 2015 annual event in Faversham town a great family day out. Welcome to Succulent Pig Faversham for all your hog roast events A. Round Hog Roasts and Catering Services now trading with its new brand name Succulent Pig is based in the historic market town of Faversham, a place rich with history and home to Britain’s oldest brewery ‘Shepherd Neame’. The brewery still produces traditional beers with names like Spitfire and one of the oldest named beers Bishops Finger. The brewery itself has been operating over three hundred years, supplied by hops from the fields surrounding the town. Faversham hosts the Hop Festival at the end of August celebrating the Brewery’s success.
Faversham is considered the birthplace of the English explosives industry and in 1916 a massive explosion occurred destroying the factory and the noise was heard by residents in North Kent. At the time this was considered to be the worst accident in the history of the British explosives industry.
Faversham's business Partnership
Faversham’s business Partnership organises a Faversham Transport Weekend in May and this year, A.Round Hog Roasts and Catering Services (now trading as Succulent Pig) are one of three main Sponsors of the Event. Succulent Pig will be located in the Market Square and will be cooking breakfast for the exhibitors and then catering hog roasts throughout the day. There’s a good chance that many a pint of Bishop’s Finger and Spitfire will be enjoyed whilst savouring the old favourite a hog roast with sage and onion stuffing and scrummy apple sauce.
This is our first year as one of the Sponsors of this prestigious event and we hope that this partnership will continue to be successful as the recent growth in popularity of Faversham Transport weekend and having hog roast is anything to go by.
Succulent Pig catering events are increasing in popularity and we consider it important to be able to support our home town and events that are being organised by its Business Partnership. This exciting future development has resulted in A Round Hog Roasts continuing to grow and develop and it was appropriate to change the name to Succulent Pig a registered Trade Mark.
